035 - Double Feature - Prom Night (1980 & 2008) →

June 04, 2018 by Pod Sematary in Worst of 2018

Worst of 2017/18 - #8 Prom Night (2008)

Prom season continues on Pod Sematary: Chris is sick! Kelsey's getting sick! And on the most important day of our lives!?
First up in the Prom Night Double Feature is the "way underrated" 1980 classic starring Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis. It's the movie that asks, "What if Carrie but Halloween? Plus Saturday Night Fever?" Remember kids: Be a Kim - Not a Wendy.
Then Chris gets very angry about prescription medication and then just angry in general when discussing the "fucking paint-by-numbers bullshit" 2008 sequel. The less said about this one the better, we think.

013 - Terror Train (1980) & The Signal (2007) →

January 01, 2018 by Pod Sematary

The Scream Queen, Jamie Lee Curtis, is back in this week's New Year's Rockin' episode of Pod Sematary! For auld lang syne, Chris and Kelsey rewatch one of their favorite New Year's horror films, 1980's Terror Train, and follow it up with the violent and quirky The Signal from 2007. End this awful year right and join us in ringing in 2018 the way it ought to be done: by hitting 2017 over the head repeatedly with a canister of rodent poison!

The crowning episode of our introductory trilogy is a DOUBLE FEATURE! Chris and Kelsey take a look at one of the godfathers of the slasher sub-genre: 1978's Halloween! Oh, and Rob Zombie's 2007 remake... I guess.
